Sydney, 7th June (People’s Daily Online)
The First Australian Influencer Self-Promotion Conference and 2023 will hold the “My Story of Hanzi” Australian Competition in Sydney in July.
To discover the best storytellers of Chinese-Australian stories, cultivate Australian influencers entering the Chinese market, and determine the “My Hanzi Sotry” International Champion 2023, the People’s Daily Online Australia is launching the first Australian Influencer Self-Promotion Conference.
In 2023, China will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Reform and Opening Up, the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” initiative, and the end of the global pandemic. Since the beginning of the year, China-Australia relations have improved, and interactions between the two sides have become active. Among them, “influencers” have become a highly regarded group in the cultural exchange between China and Australia. With the rise of live-streaming e-commerce in China, influencers have been given a new role as a driving force for e-commerce sales and brand promotion.
The first Australian Influencer Promotion Conference aims to build a unique bridge for cultural exchanges and economic and trade exchanges between China and Australia, allowing Australian social media creators to convey Chinese-Australian stories to the world through their own accounts and content and empower Australian content creators and influencers who aspire to enter the Chinese online e-commerce industry.
The theme of this self-promotion conference is “Chinese Stories in My Social Media Account,” and the collection period is from 15th June to 14th July. Participants need to participate in the Conference in the form of an invitation or self-registration and submit their account introduction information and a short video related to China. The Conference welcomes the participation of any account that promotes the theme of China-Australia exchange, including but not limited to food, travel, lifestyle, culture, and e-commerce. According to the organisers, the event invitations have received positive feedback from many Australian influencers, who generally believe that the Influencer Self-Promotion Conference will be a rare opportunity for Australian influencers to gather and communicate.
In mid-July, the organisers will invite representatives from politics, business, and academia to serve as endorsers and recommend winners for the first, second, and third prizes. The prizes for this event include signing contracts for e-commerce cooperation between Chinese and Australian companies, traffic support from Chinese social media platforms, and round-trip tickets to China. The best Chinese language speaker will also be invited as the Australian champion to participate in the 2023 “My Story of Hanzi” Conference.
On 31st July, the award and announcement will be held in Sydney, and the award-winning accounts will be announced. At that time, it is expected that dozens of influencers from all over Australia with tens of millions of followers will gather in Sydney to witness the grand event.
“My Story of Hanzi” International Story Conference is a large-scale Chinese speech competition for non-native Chinese speakers from China and abroad. It is organised by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and People’s Daily Online. The 2023 “My Story of Hanzi” Competition was launched in early June, and the finals will be held in late August.
The Australian Influencer Self-Promotion Conference has received support from the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), People’s Daily Online, World Affairs Press Co. Ltd, Australia China Business Council, TikTok, Kuaishou, Chinese social media platforms, and several Chinese-Australian companies and media. The Conference will actively explore and promote cultural exchanges between Australia and China and facilitate the development and cooperation of Chinese-Australian enterprises in digital media.
