Our Advantage

Singapore is an exciting digital economy worth around $ 16 billion USD. E-commerce continues to drive growth in Singapore despite the resumption of offline shopping as pandemic lockdowns have lifted.

Social Media Platforms in Singapore

Singapore has a population of 5.92 billion, of which 5.3 billion are active on social media.  While social media has always been popular, its growth accelerated during the pandemic period.

The average Singaporean gets their first internet-connected device at the age of 8, compared to the global average of 10 years. Two thirds of Singapore kids between 7 and 9 years use smartphones every day. All these statistics point to the popularity of the internet and social media.

As in all other places in the world, even in Singapore, most people use their mobile phones to access the internet and social media. While the mobile penetration rate in the US is 85%, in Singapore it is 88%. Popular social media channels in Singapore include:

Facebook

Facebook is the most popular social media platform in Singapore, with almost 80% of the population enjoying their time on this app. Women are the primary users (51.5%), mostly those aged between 25 and 34 years.

Instagram

Instagram has a user audience range of around 66.3% of the population, with approximately 85% of them aged between 16 and 25 years. Singaporeans spend around 2.5 hours a day on social media.
